Privacy Policy - Expium LLC

We value your privacy and are careful in how we collect and share data. This privacy policy explains the data we collect and how we use it.

Scope

This privacy policy covers our web sites (including subdomains), mobile applications, downloadable (Atlassian Server and Data Center compatible) software, blogs, support forums, and other aspects of our online presence and operations. Also see the policy for Expium's apps.

In regard to the analytic tools and other tools used to operate our websites and services, your continued use of our sites, products, services, or any other content covered by this policy constitutes your acceptance and agreement to this Policy and any updates. In regard to information you provide explicitly, such as an email address, we explain at the point of email collection, that you provide it for the purpose of receiving email messages.

Information collected

Many of our web sites and services do not collect any specific personal information. However, some may collect information consider personal, such as name, address, email information, billing information, IP addresses, passwords, telephone numbers, and other information. Some of this data collection occurs when you fill in an online form, or type information into software we provide; other information is collected automatically or passively. Passive data collection includes cookies, software and website log data, and other information collected technically.

Some of our web sites or services use web cookies for data collection and as part of their function. In such cases, you are not required to accept cookies, but some aspects of our services may fail to function if you disable cookies.

Analytic and advertising tools

Some of our websites use third-party analytic tools. These tools may also collect data passively; such data collection is covered by their privacy policies.  See our data processor list for specific entities.

Children’s information

We do not offer any web sites, products, or services specific to children, and do not knowingly or intentionally collect any personally identifiable information for children under the age of 13.

Information use

We use the information collected in several ways. We communicate with our customers and prospective customers using this information. We adjust and optimize the performance of our systems using this information. We provide or display (via their parties as described above) advertising using this information. We provide various software functions which require and use this information.

Disclosure

We do not share personal information with third parties except in certain narrow ways.

Service Providers

Some of our web sites, services, and products are hosted via various service providers. The service providers will therefore come into possession of this information, but we make best efforts to ensure the service providers are obligated not to use or disclose any such information except as required in the process of providing their services to us.

Partners

Some of our web sites, products, and services may be cobranded or otherwise offered in conjunction with another firm. In such cases, relevant personal information will be available to both parties in such an arrangement. For example, if you sign up for a webinar, the company we used provide the webinar will necessarily also receive your information, subject to their privacy policies.

Legal requirements

We may disclose personal information if we have a good faith belief that we are required to do so by law. Similarly, we may disclose personal information as necessary or appropriate to prevent violations of our terms or license agreements, to protect against liability, to protect other rights, property, or safety of any individual or the general public; Or to protect ourselves or our sites, products, or services against fraudulent, unlawful or abusive uses, or in investigations of the above, or to assist any regulatory agencies as required.

Change of ownership

Information in our possession, including personal information may be included in any company sale, merger, transfer of assets, acquisition, or other similar transaction.

Security

We take reasonable measures to ensure the security of systems which store personal information. In the specific case of the most sensitive information (such as credit card payment information), we typically delegate the storages use of this information to service providers who specialize in such secure storage and operations.

Email notifications

We use your email or other contact information for transactional notifications around any purchase related to a class or other Expium offering.

We also use your email for occasional marketing updates; by your request, either via our website or in person. From each such email you can click to unsubscribe.

Policy changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page.

GDPR and other regulatory compliance

Although Expium primarily operates in the USA, we sometimes provide training, consulting, and SaaS services to customers around the world. We aim to comply with all suitable local regulation around privacy of your data. Please contact us with any concern.

No error-free performance

We do not guarantee error free performance under this privacy policy or our other policies. We use reasonable efforts to comply with these policies and attempt to correct any problems promptly upon notification.
